Mountain biking brings vibration, quick changes in direction, dust, moisture, and plenty of impact risk. A camera built for casual handheld video may struggle when the trail gets rough.

Battery access matters more than it might seem. If you ride for an hour at a time, one battery may be enough. For all-day trail sessions, trips, or multiple laps, carrying charged spares is far more useful than pushing a camera until it shuts off halfway through your best run.
